Announcement of an Open House, January 13, 2013 and request for historic artifacts relating to the Toms Brook School, 3235 Main Street, Toms Brook VA. The County of Shenandoah, the Town of Toms Brook, and People Incorporated Housing Group are pleased to announce an Open House for the rehabilitated Toms Brook School Apartments that will be held on Sunday January 13, 2013 from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. at the Toms Brook School, 3235 Main Street, Toms Brook VA. The Open House will showcase the rehabilitation of the old Toms Brook School into 14-affordable rental housing units. The event is free and open to the all members public, no RVSP is required. Guests in need of special accommodations or with questions should contact, M. Residents, former teachers or students, or members of the community that would like to loan or donate any educational, sports, or community-related artifacts from the Toms Brook School for the Open House or if they have stories you would like to share about the School should contact NSVRC staff at the number or email provided above. All artifacts will be returned in their original condition following the Open House if requested. Artifacts and stories will be reviewed for incorporation into a documentary film on the School and project.
