1. Approval of minutes from the November 10 regular personnel meeting and November 19 special called personnel committee meeting.

Action: Minutes approved with changes.

2. Request to enter into Closed Session under Section 2.2-3711 (A) (1) of the Code of

Virginia, to discuss appointments to the Equalization Board, Northwestern Community

Services Board, Citizens Advisory Committee and Industrial Development Authority.

Action: none

3. Consideration of appointments.

Action: Committee recommended to the full board at today's board meeting the

following appointments :

Equalization Board-Lawrence "Buck" Eye

NWCSB-Chip Belyea and Melissa Mumaw

CAC-Mike Liskey and Cindy Rinker

IDA-Larry Helsley

4. Consideration of revisions to the County Administrator job description.

Action: Committee recommended to the full board the noted revisions.

5. Request to enter into Closed Session under Section 2.2-3711 (A) (29) of the Code of

Virginia, to discuss a public contract involving the expenditure of public funds and

discussion of the terms or scope of such contract, where discussion in an open session

would adversely affect the bargaining position or negotiating strategy of the public body.

Specific subject matter pertains to an executive search firm for County Administrator.

Action: Entered in Closed Session.

Return to regular session.

Committee recommended approval of a contract with Springsted Inc to perform

an executive search for County Administrator at a cost of $11,950.00

Item not necessary to go before full board as it falls under the county's

procurement regulations.
