1. Approved of minutes from the June 8, 2010 meeting.
2. Approved a request by Sheriff Tim Carter to fill two vacant law enforcement deputy positions and one vacant jail deputy position.
3. Approved a job description for a Custodian under General Properties .
4. Approved the Personnel Policy change pertaining to leave without pay.
5. Approved the Personnel Policy change pertaining to the Family Medical Leave Act.
6. Entered into Closed Session under Section 2.2-3711 (A) (1) of the Code of Virginia, to discuss appointments to the Water Resources Advisory Committee, Travel Council, Emergency Medical Council, Citizens Advisory Committee, Shenandoah Area Agency on Aging, Conservation Easement Authority, Board of Building Code Appeals, and the Shenandoah Valley Workforce Investment Board.
Entered into Closed Session under Section 2.2-3711 (A) (1) of the Code of Virginia to discuss employment benefits for a county employee and a perspective county employee.
7. Appointed the following:

Travel Council - Joe Proctor
LFEMS - Preston Stempler
SAAA-Wanda Shoemaker
Conservation Easement Authority - Elizabeth Stern
Building Code Appeals - Alvin Vann and Dexter Mumaw

8. Other-Committee instructed staff to proceed administratively with the request to hire Vince Poling as a Part-Time Economic Development Director.
