Sunday Movie Matinee & Holiday Fun
Don't tell anyone but SCPR's staff have been working very closely with some of Santa's special helpers to provide a fun-filled afternoon for you! Join us at Central High School for a Sunday Matinee and Holiday Fun! We'll work on different take-home crafts and make some awesome homemade snacks, all before the two star attractions of the afteroon! Bring your favorite blanket and pillow as you stretch out to watch "The Polar Express" on SCPR's big, inflatable movie screen! After the movie, we'll enjoy pizza; and you better not close your eyes, because someone very special may be delivering those pizzas and you may want to have your photo taken with this special guest! If this sounds funt oyou and you are in K-5th grade, have mom or dad sign you up right away! Parents, this is a great opportunity for you to enjoy some quiet time, to do some last minute shopping, or to enjoy a movie yourself! PLEASE NOTE: Registration deadline has been extended to Thursday, December 12 at 5:00pm; SCPR prefers pre-registration but will accept on-site registration as well.
For K through 5th grade.
Sunday, December 15, 2:00-7:30pm, Central High School Old Gym

Other Quick Program Updates
The stargazing season has concluded for the calendar year. We will restart this program in the late winter/early spring of 2014. Thank you to the members of the Shenandoah Astronomical Society, our amateur astronomers, for joining us each month and providing their telescopes and knowledge and expertise.
For those of you with a stargazing/astronomy interest, remember that Shenandoah County Park has its own Clear Sky Chart. This is the weather info. SCPR and our volunteer astronomers use to determine if our stargazing events will go forward or not. The website gives you cloud cover information and is very, very accurate. So, for the next event, you can check the Clear Sky Chart for the park and see what the weather will be like, visit: http://cleardarksky.com/c/ShndhCPVAkey.html?1 .
