Saturday Night Stargazing is BACK!!!
Do you want to learn how to find the constellations or the North Star?
Do you want to take a long look at another planet and its moons? How
about viewing a Ring Nebula or a Double Star? Please join Shenandoah
County Parks & Recreation for several Saturday night stargazing evenings
this fall and winter. This event is for all ages; please bring the
entire family! Bring a picnic chair, your binoculars or your own
telescope, a flashlight, and dress for the nighttime temperatures. The
hosts will provide telescopes and instruction. This is a
weather-permitting event; if it’s cloudy or raining, the event will be
canceled until the next month. There is no pre-registration needed, but
please be sure to check the cancellation line at 984-3030, Option 9,
before heading to the park. For ALL ages!

Poker Run
We are proud to announce that we will be hosting the 1st Annual Crusin' 4 a Flush Poker Run to benefit our youth programs. Get your bike cleaned up, grab your favorite rider, and cruise for that Royal Flush. The event will be held on May 8, and will begin and end at the Shenandoah County Park in Maurertown. Registration will begin at 9:00am and the last bike will leave the park at 11:00am. Click HERE for more information.

2010 Arts and Crafts Festival
As the winter season comes to an end, get your craft items ready and plan to sell your wares at the Annual Arts and Crafts Festival. This year's festival will be held March 6, 2010 at Peter Muhlenberg Middle School from 8:00am-3:00pm. If you do not have any items to sell, plan to join your fellow residents and see the great items we will have available for purchase.
